Mat Honan calls Google’s new privacy policy “the end of ‘Dont be evil’”:
In a privacy policy shift, Google announced today that it will begin tracking users universally across all its services — Gmail, Search, YouTube and more — and sharing data on user activity across all of them. So much for the Google we signed up for.
“Don’t be evil” has been over for a long time.
Mountain out of a molehill. Google already tracks your data on all the products you use. Now those products can share information between themselves to enrich your experience and market to you better. Not sure what is “evil” about doing what I, personally, assumed they already did. If you use Google services and you don’t assume your data is flowing all over Google, then you’re a naive moron.
